While Waiting For Your Football Season To Load, Please Enjoy The Following...
The Very Best of Ahhnuld... future President of the United States, Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Military and biggest, badassest politician in the history of the universe.
What is best in life, Mr. President? Exactly.
Tell us about what you most liked about weight training, Mr. President.
Nothing gets me more fired up for football than a good Zorba's soundtrack and some man vs. bear action in Central Park.
The most powerful man in the free world should always be prepared for a memorable one-liner after dealing with an unruly foe.
But you can't just be witty all the time. You have to have the right mix of wit and somber sincerity.
Any embarrassing moments from your past you'd like us to know about, Mr. President?
Finally, it would be impossible to pick any one moment from this next piece of art, but if Ahhnuld can command a class of 5-year-olds, he is certainly prepared for battling Congress.
My fellow Americans, I rest my case.

Defeated: The Last Thursday Before Fall Practice Begins
The University of South Carolina Fighting Gamecocks check in to their roost tomorrow. Preparations for our SEC Championship run begin Saturday night at The Proving Grounds practice field, which is open to the public by the way. I'll have to skip watching kids younger than me run around in football helmets because I'll be boozing it up with monkeys and giraffes.
Meanwhile, USA Today has their pre-season prognostication posted.
(The Other) SC Starts at No. 1
Overrated as always, but everyone is claiming this will be their toughest schedule in recent years
The Top 25
Gamecocks ranked 30th by points, five spots ahead of the Cleminals. Five Top 25 teams on our schedule. Gotta love the SEC.

Clean the sand out of your... junk, USA Today. SOS is the man and he'll do what he wants.

Defeated: The Last Wednesday Before Fall Practice Begins
Not much to report on from this front. I'm busy burning crab cakes and filling Snead World Headquarters with cayanne pepper smoke. If you'd like to see me cry, although I think everyone has at this point, come on over.
Executive Privilege: We Know What You Don't Know You Don't Want To Know
From ThinkProgress.org:
The White House refuses to release documents about Army Ranger Pat Tillman’s death, citing executive privilege. VoteVets asks that you sign a letter informing the President that this is not acceptable.

Respectfully, Sir, when it comes to outright lies conveyed to the public
about the death of a soldier - especially one like Corporal Tillman whose
service was used as a recruiting poster for the military - there is nothing
which cannot be shared with the Legislative Branch or the people.
Confidence in the institution of the military from those within is at
stake, the longer you withhold information. The longer questions remain
about the death of Corporal Tillman and possible White House involvement in an
ensuing cover-up, the more our troops will question whether this government will
properly honor their sacrifice and let their families know the truth, if they
are killed in action. It is simply impossible for the military to
function, if those in its ranks do not have full faith in our leadership up the
chain of command, all the way to Washington.

"I almost quit my job today."
I love when people say this. It's the economic equivalent of thinking of a really good comeback five minutes too late.
